From whom does the BUYER acquire the credits?

In this scenario, the BUYER would purchase credits through us, as we facilitate and coordinate access to these credits from projects such as KenGen and the Lake Turkana Wind Project (LTWP).

What documentation is required?

  • The documentation generally involves:
  • NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement)
  • Term Sheet/Offer
  • ERPA (Emission Reduction Purchase Agreement)
  • Project documentation (registration and verifications)
  • Invoice and payment instructions

How is the price established?

The pricing is influenced by:

  • Type of credit (such as CERs)
  • Vintage and regulatory status
  • Volume
  • Agreement structure

Typically, CDM/CER credits trade at lower prices. However, in this instance, the credits are situated within a broader carbon and impact framework, in which revenue supports project growth and delivers additional outcomes, including impacts related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This context legitimises the price range you've mentioned. Additionally, there's flexibility to factor in your commission based on your buyer's profile and preferences, and we can customise that according to volume and structure.

How does the BUYER execute payment?

The payment structure can be tailored according to the buyer's type, whether that be spot purchases, structured payments, or instalments. At the fundamental level, payments to the original project owners (KenGen / LTWP) are conducted through bank transfer, while the remaining transaction aspects are organised accordingly.

How does the BUYER receive the credits?

The credits are transferred electronically via the relevant registry (such as the CDM registry) to the designated account of the BUYER.

Who receives the payment?

Payments are made based on the mutually agreed structure, coordinated by us as the transaction managers, ensuring proper settlement to the project owners.

How do you charge your commission?

The commission can be structured in two ways:

  • As a margin included within the price, or
  • As a commission specified per transaction. We tailor this alignment based on your collaboration with your buyer.

If you already have a buyer identified, we can proceed directly by reviewing the volume and structure to advance to the next phase.
